The
Laurentians region is not
just famous for its unbelievable
scenery, within the bounds
of this popular tourist area
are several communities with
many attractive features-
Val Morin, Val-David and St
Agathe are just three of some
of these amazing residential
communities. The south-east
region of the Laurentians
is an area known for spectacular
scenery and a high quality
of life. Located in this region
are the towns of Val Morin
and Val-David. The town of
Val Morin shares the municipal
limits with the quaint town
of Val-David . This area of
the Laurentians is further
complemented by the village
of St Agathe , made up of
the two municipalities of:
Ste-Agathe-des-Monts and Ste-Agathe-Sud.

| Why the Laurentians? |
| Many
people who visit the Laurentians
on a vacation fall in love with
the region and end up staying
permanently. The area is certainly
best known for the abundance
of outdoor activities and each
of these three communities has
a wide variety of indoor and
outdoor recreational activities
for all ages. Down hill and
cross-country skiing are popular
pastimes for area residents
and as soon as the snow falls
tourists begin to trickle in
to Val Morin, Val-David and
St Agathe. In the neighboring
municipalities of Val Morin
and Val-David cycling is a well-liked
activity and participants will
spend hours traveling along
the P’tit train du Nord- you
can even cycle your way to St
Agathe. Known throughout Canada
, Val-David is the birthplace
of climbing and 500 rock climbing
routes have been officially
listed in the area. |

| Although the area is famous for its scenery there is much happening behind the scenes, shall we say! In the village of Val Morin resides the Theatre du Marais and residents from neighboring towns will often come to take in a show.
