Founded in 1946, Sainte-Anne des Lacs with a population of 2, 609 is the gateway to the stunning territory known as the Pays-d’en-Haut MRC. This spectacular mountain village is surrounded by peaceful water expanses and majestic mountains. Sainte-Anne des Lacs located just 35 minutes out of Montreal, is known as one of the most beautiful and attractive places to live in the region.
A World Away

This mountain village is a small community that is content to remain removed from many of the larger town and city conveniences. The nearby town of Saint Sauveur is only 3 or 4 km’s away and conveniently offers a wide variety of restaurants, cultural activities and schools. In a village of such exceptional beauty, it is not surprising that the residents of Sainte-Anne des Lacs are an active bunch. Residents and visitors alike enjoy many outdoor activities in town and nearby. A popular destination for cyclists is the famous bicycle path that winds its way through Sainte-Anne des Lacs to Tremblant and St-Jerome. The path is 300km long, and attracts cyclists of all skills and ages. Within minutes of Sainte-Anne des Lacs you will find a number of quality ski hills that are frequently visited by residents from all neighboring towns. In the summer months, kids of all ages enjoy visiting one of the two nearby water parks. Also in the area are several golf clubs offering golf for the public. For the kids, in the summer months, the popular residential camp located in the village-Camp Olier welcomes children between the ages of  8-17 for summer fun!
Unspoiled Waterways

Sainte-Anne des Lacs is home to many picture-perfect lakes and rivers. Area residents will tell you that one of the best things about their water, is that all of their lakes are motor-boat free and so offer a safe and peaceful experience for all. Swimming, kayaking and canoeing are popular activities in the warmer months on many of the areas lakes.

Shopping
You do not have to go far to indulge in some excellent shopping. The area is close to three shopping centers that will have something for everyone. In addition, the village has a variety of unique boutiques selling a range of wares.
Schools
The local residents are very proud of their school board that provides a top-notch, quality education. There are several French and English, Catholic and Protestant primary and high schools in the area, each with excellent reputations.
Staying Active

Within the village of Saint Sauveur and in the surrounding areas, there are many ways for kids to stay involved in the community. Interested participants can join one of several local sports teams. In the summer, there are quite a few day and residential camps in the area offering a wide range of activities.
